Work - How to make a good impression in a job application

If we look at someone, our brain subconsciously categorizes this person because of his/her appearance. That’s why the first impression we get from someone always plays a decisive role, especially at job applications.

It’s quite a common situation to apply for a job, but thousands of people don’t know how to make a good impression.
First your appearance is decisive for the first impression, which’s why your clothes should fit with the working place you apply for. It won’t make a good impression, for example if you apply for a job at a reception and appear in a track suit. Secondly, the impression you convey of your own person is of particular importance. It’s mostly made up of your cleanliness and your self-confidence.

At the same time self-confidence is what makes it difficult for many people to get a job, because embarassingly they don’t know the difference between being self confident and being arrogant! Which’s maybe the reason of watching tv too often. There they're lying, showing off and being aggressive, which may be quite funny to look at. In real life such behaviours aren’t funny in any way and may even cost your job.

The conclusion is: be informed, prepare yourself for every question they may have and show them that you’re the best person for the job. If you stay as naturally as you can and consider all this, I’m sure you’ll easily get your dreamjob! Well begun is half done.
